The AICC Canada Hall of Fame (HOF) recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the independent sector of the corrugated packaging industry through active membership in AICC and broad-based involvement in the industry.

KIM NELSON, ROYAL CONTAINERS LTD.

On Friday Dec 6th at the esteemed St. George Golf & Country Club in Toronto, Kim Nelson, President, and CEO of Royal Containers was inducted into the AICC Canada’s Hall of Fame. AICC Canada’s Hall of Fame award recognizes an individual who has been an outstanding contributor to the benefit of independent corrugated converters; has contributed greatly to the benefit of the association; and is an individual whose career has benefited the corrugated industry overall.

Kim Nelson’s work with AICC began in 1995 and has evolved to encompass many roles. Encouraged by her father to join, Kim went on to serve as President of AICC Canada in 2000 and Chairman of AICC International in 2010. She is currently the Overseas Director of AICC International and a business advisor to several other companies. Kim Nelson’s work with the association has helped attain and mentor great leaders. She is not only recognized for her leadership, but also for her fervor and dedication to AICC.

Kim Nelson is known among her colleagues as “competitive, relentless and caring”. She is “someone who cares about other people and is a team player”. Kim Nelson’s collaborative and charitable work has impacted many far and wide. She lives out her values by truly responding, caring, performing and leading not only in her business, but in the community.

As a competitive athlete, Kim Nelson’s focus and determination are at the forefront of what makes her a leader in the industry. In addition to her many accolades, Kim Nelson now adds being the first woman inducted to hall of fame, along with the only father, daughter duo, joining her father Ross Nelson to her record of accomplishments. We congratulate Kim on this well-deserving award wish her continued success in her future endeavours.
